| Elblag (130,000 inhabitants), a large industrial, commercial and cultural centre, lies on the edge of a scenic highland region, approx 80 km from Gdansk and Gdynia. It's one of the oldest towns in Northern Poland. Elblag is situated on the river Elblag which joins lake Druzno with Zalew Wislany. |

Port Elblag is situated on the banks of the Elblag river; about 6 miles from its entrance is the Zalew Wislany. The Elblag river has the natural inland shipping connection trough the Jagielonski channel, Nogat and Wisla river. These waterways permit vessel to reach the inland ports of Malbork, Tczew, Gdansk and Bydgoszcz. |
