| The Port of Elblag is a sea and a river port; it is situated about 6 miles from the Zalew Wislany. The navigation on the fairway through Zalew Wislany is limited by a max. depth of up to 2.4 m. and the max. permitted draught of the vessels entering the Elblag river is 1.5 m. The pilotage is performed only during the day-time and is compulsory for vessels of 40 m. LOA or over. |

| There are three main port basins providing total quay lengths of about 2.5 km and a turning area of 120 m. in diameter.
The quays are mostly equipped with railway systems and mobile cranes. Grain silos with a 14,000 m3 capacity provide loading rates of 600 t per shift. In the central part of port, near the old town, there is a 100 m. length quay for passenger ships (Pasazerskie - Zegluga Gdanska Quay). | ||
