| Nowy Port (The Inner Port).
Situated along the harbour channel and the banks of the Martwa Wisla (Dead Vistula river). On its E bank the terminals for handling liquid sulphur, salts and soda, chemical fertilisers, molasses, mazout and a terminal with warehouse capacity of 75,000t for the import of phosphates are located.
In this part of the port there are also facilities and equipment such as bunkers, cranes up to 25t lifting capacity and weighing conveyors for handling coal, grain and other bulk material. General cargo and timber handling is carried out at a terminal, which has 100,000t storage capacity.
The W river bank comprises of the general cargo and container terminals, as well as the elevator and the ferry terminal, providing regular connection with Scandinavia.
There are also 15 warehouses for general cargo, vast storage yards, wharves equipped with stationary and wheeled cranes, stackers, tractors and other quality equipment. The container handling/storing terminal located at the Szczecin Quay is equipped with container cranes of 40t lifting capacity able to stach 4 tiers high. The draft at the berth is 9.9 m.
General cargo terminals:
WOC - Terminal operates at quays WOC I, WOC II, Oliwskie. It offers handling, storage, forwarding and customs clearances. WOC provides quays 2 km in length with a max. draft of 10.2m. and 9 warehouses with a total area of 60,000 m2, open storage of 74,000 m2 and cold storage of 10,000 m2.
Wislany - This terminal operates at the quays Szczecinskie and Wislane. It offers handling and storage of containers, heavy lifts, general cargo and grain. Wislany provides a storage area of 7,500m2 for 1,600 TEU, warehouses of 19,200m2, open storage of 65,000m2 and grain silo capacity of 8,000 t.
Bulk cargo terminals:
Basen Gorniczy - This terminal operates at quays Rudowe, Weglowe and Administaracyjne. It offers handling and storage of coal, ore, timber, scrap, chemical and others. The terminal provides a total length of quays at 1.6 km, a max. draft of 10.2m. a total open storage area of 120,000 m2, 6 coal bins, 2 ore bins with a total area of 19,000 m2, 5 automatic scales, 20 cranes with a 8-25 T lifting capacity and 24 mobile cranes with a 12-30 T lifting capacity.
GZNF Fosfory - The fertilizer factory operates at its own quays Chemikow and Przemyslowe. The terminal specializes in handling phosphates, UAN, sulphuric acid, molasses and fertilizers. It provides a warehouse capacity of 50,000 t, UAN tanks with a capacity of 18,000 t (loading rate 450-500 t/h), acid tanks with capacity of 10,000 t (loading rate 350 t/h) and molases tanks with capacity of 24,000 t (loading rate 500 t/h).
Siarkopol - Siarkopol sulphur terminal operates at the Obroncow Poczty Polskiej Quay. It offers storage and transshipment of solid and liquid sulphur. Loading rate is 1,500 t per 6 hours shift.
Grain Elevators - There are 5 grain elevators in the Inner Port. Elevators No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4 belongs to Gdanskie Mlyny i Spichlerze, No. 2 belongs to Wislany Ltd. and No. 5 belongs to Gdanskie Przedsiebiorstwo Przemyslu Zbozowego.
Elevator No. 1 has capacity of 10,000 t and is situated at Ostrowica IV Quay; it is suitable for ships of up to 2,000 t and with an unloading capacity of 70 t/h.
Elevator No. 2 has an 8,000 t capacity and is situated at Wislany Quay.
Elevator No. 3 and No. 4 are situated at the Zbozowe Quay and each provide 10,000 t capacity; they are suitable for ships of up to 6,000 t with unloading capacities of 100 t/h.
Elevator No. 5 is situated at Oliwskie Quay and offers an 1,800 t capacity.
Ferry Terminal.
Ferry Terminal - Passenger and ro/ro ferry terminal is located at the Ziolkowskiego Quay. The terminal is equipped with loading platforms of up to 30 T and are full back-up facilities.
