| The grain terminal is located at the eastern part of Indyjskie Quay and provides berths for ships up to 245 metres in length and up to 11.3 metres depth. Grain silos with 11,800 t capacity are equipped with the latest generation shore based loading systems (Buhler Portalink Combi 300). It allows grain unloading and loading rates suitably 400 and 360 tonnes per hour.
The terminal can handle ships up to 35,000 DWT when loading and 70,000 DWT when discharging and 6,000 tonnes per day for both import and export cargoes. Daily handling rates for inland rates are: - from elevators to wagons - 6,000 tonnes - from wagons to elevators - 4,500 tonnes - from elevators to trucks and from trucks to elevators - 4,000 tonnes The handling capacity of the Buhler installation is 7,000 tonnes of grain per day. The Baltic Grain Terminal (BGT) offers customers grain cleaning, quality control, bagging and forwarding. Annual throughput capacity is 1.5 million tonnes. Aside from the terminal's cereals handling capability, the BGT also has facilities to load and discharge liquid fertilizers. At the Indyjskie Quay storage capacity comprises two liquid fertiliser silos of 5,300 cubic metres each with a discharging rate of 250 tonnes an hour. The BGT has the capacity to handle 600,000 tonnes of fertilizers a year. Also at the Indyjskie Quay is an aluminium oxide handling terminal, which is made up of two 2,800 DWT barges and a floating warehouse of 15,000 tonnes. There are also four specialist floating elevators to handling the aluminium oxydine with discharging rate from ship to silo 2,500 tonnes a day and between ship and barge 3,000 tonnes a day. | |
