River Port Police is situated approx 15 km N of Szczecin on the NW coast of Poland.
The port located at the estuary of the Odra River belongs to the Chemical Works POLICE. This chemical complex ranks as a Poland's leading producer of fertilizers and one of hundred industrial giants of Central Europe.

Its excellent geographical position enables intensive use of inland waterways and the fairway connecting it with the Baltic Sea.

The port has cargo-handling facilities for bulk operations and a good railway infrastructure. Cargo transshipment services are offered to other customers.

The 1997 throughput in the port of Police totalled 2,825,000 tonnes with over 550 ships served.

The Port of Police is under the control of the Szczecin Harbour Master's Office.

The port complex includes:
Port Morski (Sea Port) Quay:
Specializes in handling chemical dry bulk cargoes. The quay is 415 meters long and accepts ships drawing up to 9.15 meters. Its facilities include two discharging Kone cranes with a daily capacity of 6,000 tonnes, loading MVT facilities with 3,500 tonnes capacity per day and two 10-tonne cranes
Port Barkowy (Barge Port) Quay:
Specializes in handling chemical dry bulk cargoes. An operating quay 200 meters long for ships drawing up to 3.80 meters. Cranage: 4 shore cranes with a 8 T lifting capacity, belt conveyors with a loading capacity of 60 t/h; loading/discharging rates for total of 4,500 and 3,000 t a day.
Chemiczne Quay (called Port Mijanka):
Specializes in handling chemical liquid cargoes. Quay length 200 meters with a maximum alongside depth of 8.40 meters; the quay has two terminals for handling liquid products. Their capacities per hour are 300 tonnes of ammonia and 350 tonnes of sulphuric acid, respectively.
