Port Handlowy Swinoujscie is situated on Wolin and Uznam Islands at the entrance to the Swina River. Port approaching navigation channel is 32 nautic miles long, width varying 180-200m. and depth of 14m. Port has favorable geographical position and good connections with interland (railway, highway and inland transport by Odra River).
Several quays in Swinoujscie handle general cargo, especially to/from the vessels of the size enabling entrance to the port of Szczecin or the completion of cargo on vessel loading first at Szczecin up to the limited draught.

Port Handlowy Swinoujscie Ltd provides port services: handling of dry bulk and general cargo as well as towage and morage of ships.

The port is equipped with stationary cranes and mobile equipment, i.e.: terminal trucks, 6- to 20-tonne trailers, 10- to 90-tonne mobile cranes and forklifts trucks of 4 to 21-onnes capacity, two 16-tonnes floating cranes, 4 tugs (1200 - 2500 KM) and fire protection sailing craft (2720 KM).

Port operates five main quays:
Portowców Quay	216 meters length, available for ships of 10.60 meters draught - prospective after modernization - 12.80; the quay side is designed for handling bulk and general cargo; total storage area - 8,000 square meters including boxes. The quay is equipped with two 16-tonnes cranes.
Gornikow Quay	260 meters length, available for ships of 12.80 meters draught; a modern coal terminal equipped with a shiploader with 2,000 tonnes per hour capacity, wagon tipplers and defrosting station; fully mechanized open coal storage of 120,000 meters with stacker-reclaimers and a rubber belt conveyor system, two portal cranes of 10-tonnes capacity at barge wharf available for ships of 4.80 m. max draught.
Hutnikow Quay	330 meters length, available for ships of 12.80 meters draught; open storage area - 5,200 square meters for iron ore, 18,100 square meters for general cargo and 8,000 square meters for storage of aggregate. The quay is equipped with 40-tonne gantry crane.
Chemikow Quay	282 meters length, available for ships of 12.80 meters draught. The quay is equipped with two grab gantry cranes of 20-tonnes capacity. Covered storage area for 100,000 tonnes of bulk cargo and 1,000 sq. meters of storage area for general cargo.
Wladyslawa IV Quay	554 meters length, available for ships of 10.00 meters draught; a lay-bay quay on the western bank of the Swina River; suitable for passenger and cruise ships.

Ferry terminal There are five quays suitable equipment for handling passengers and cargo traffic, including warehouses of 1,500 sq. meters and bonded storage.
